Nail Trim
Service Description
Nail trimming can be one of the hardest things to keep on top of so it is important that owners are aware of why their pets need a nail trim and how often they need to have it done. Dog nail trims are done to prevent the nail growing too long as overgrown nails can be the cause and start of other health issues. A dog walking with overgrown nails, for example, could be experiencing pressure, pain and discomfort which may subsequently alter how they walk, this could then be affecting many other joints and muscles in the body. Long nails can also split, which would be causing pain for your pet and in extreme cases if left to get too long, nails can curl and grow back in to the paw pads creating a great risk for infection. We can offer a stress free approach to trim your pets nails in the comfort of their own home (behaviour permitting) and answer any questions you may have. Our Nurses will need your assistance to hold your pet but we will provide full training on how to do this effectively and safely for everyone. Please note that if your pet becomes overly anxious and stressed that we may have to stop what we are doing and discuss a plan to tailor this service.
