Dog Walking
Service Description
We can arrange to come to your home, collect your dog and take them for a 15 or 30 minute walk around your suburb. The time of this service will be based on weather conditions and temperature to ensure the safety and well being of your pet. Under the Companion Animals Act 1998, on-the-spot fines apply under the Companion Animals Act 1998 for: Unleashed dog(s) in a public place Dog not wearing a collar and ID tag in public Animal not permanently identified/microchipped Animal not registered Not notifying change in registration ID Owning a dog that attacks It is common for dogs to 'slip' their collar sometimes and so we ask that your dog is fitted with a harness as well as a collar please. Please ensure that your dog has an ID tag attached to their collar that states their name, your name and your contact number. Please ensure that your pet is microchipped (we can assist with microchipping if your dog is not yet microchipped), and that all microchip paperwork is correct and that you have a copy from your microchip implanter or breeder. Pet registration is a separate step you need to take with Council on top of microchipping your animal. Your form needs to be lodged with your local council and has a fee attached to it. It is then uploaded in to the Pet Registry database relevant to your State. Please ensure that you have checked the information uploaded and made any corrections needed. If you have obtained your animal from another family, you must ensure that a change of ownership form is completed and lodged with Council. We can guide you through this process if required. If your dog has behaviour concerns and has or is likely to attack another person or animal during a walk, you must inform us at the time of consultation. We will discuss options with you for referral to behaviourists and specialised trainers who can work work with you and your animal. *It is imperative that the above are adhered to by you as an owner of the animal. Pets and Wildlife Services AU or its employees, do not take any responsibility for any breaches including but not limited to the above regulations.
