Sarah played a big part in the devastating 2019/2020 Australian bushfires and working closely with NSW Government, NSW Police, NSW Fire, RFS, NSW Ambulance, Australian Defence Force, Pilots, Veterinarians, Veterinary Nurses, Wildlife Volunteers, Drone Operators, Rescue Dogs and Handlers, Darters, Shooters, Production Film Crews, Media, Social Influencers and kind hearted members of the public, Sarah dedicated 6 months away from her home and family to coordinate and complete the project.
The TV famous Yukon Vet, Dr Michelle Oakley, flew from Alaska with her team and joined Sarah on the journey of unknown. Along with many other team members, they filmed a documentary with Lucky Dog Films which was aired later that same year.

TV Bondi Vet Twins, Dr Audrey and Alison Shen joined the team and with their mobile van and incredible Veterinary Nurses and were thankfully able to assist in some of the more remote locations.

One of IFAWS Ambassadors, Social Influencer and TV Vets, Dr Paul Ramos flew from the UK to join the teams expedition.

Some of Australia's top Wildlife Veterinarians including Dr Larry Vogelnest and Dr Howard Ralph, along with many others, kindly volunteered their time caring for the native Wildlife and Vets Beyond Borders and World Vet were amazing at gathering teams of Veterinarians and Nurses to join all or part of the 6 month project.

Sarah was nominated by her peers and announced as one of the winners of a scholarship award.
Sarah was nominated by her peers and announced as the winner of the Bush Fire Heroes Award.
Sarah was nominated by her Veterinary Director for Veterinary Nurse of the Year Award with Vet Nurse Council Australia.
Pets and Wildlife Services AU were nominated by our wonderful clients and became a finalist in the 2023 Penrith City Local Business Awards. Awards presentation dinner will be held on 1st November 2023!
